The first day I ever listened to Bullet for My Valentine was probably hands down the worst day of my life. My ex had recently hurt me in some drastic ways and I didn’t know who or what else to turn too. I remember tossing all his things out the door and that’s when I noticed The Poison album laying on the end table. I had never listened to the band before and just about crushed the cd to get revenge on my ex, but decided I would listen to one song before I did. Tears Don’t Fall was the very first song I ever listened to by them and I instantly felt a connection to the lyrics because I felt like that same girl they were talking about in the song. I noticed he also had the Hand of Blood Album and Scream, Aim; Fire so I grabbed both those cd’s and listened to every song on them. The lyrics in the songs really had a similar toll to the way my life was going. When my best friend Eric was shot down and killed by his own brother and my ex I listened to Curses and Road to nowhere for what seemed like days. Bullet for My Valentine’s music really helped me get through my life in those really tough months after he died and I couldn’t be more grateful. Whenever I needed something to release my anger I would listen to BFMV and I will continue to as long as their music lives on <3
